A blog covering tenders and advice on tender opportunities.
Did you know...
The following is a little bit of information that you should definitely take into consideration when putting together a tenders proposal.
Since your bid will be entering the public sector, there is the possibility that any information disclosed in your bid, can be made public under the Freedom of Information Act.
Once in the public domain the information can be read by your competitors and other people with interests in your sector. Therefore, if you are innovating a new product and you have sensitive material in your bid about how you have, or are, developing your new solution, then you may not want this to be public knowledge.
It is up to you to make the necessary arrangements when you submit your bid in terms of clarifying what information is sensitive or considered a commercial, or trade secret.
If it is potentially harmful to your industry position for the information to be made public, then make sure you have a non-disclosure agreement in place with the authority that you are dealing with.
