When placing your business into the service of the public sector, there are certain policies that your business should have in place. Your business should really have these anyway but when it comes to tendering, failure to have these in place can result in an instant rejection of your bid from the contracting company. 

The policies that you should have in place, as they are often considered as part of the evaluation, are:

  • Health & Safety
  • Equal Opportunities
  • Environmental Policy

You should make every effort to be fully up to speed on all of the requirements of these policies, and any others that are suitable for your business. If you have not got these policies in place, make sure that you contact the relevant authorities to enquire about what is necessary before committing yourself to putting a tender bid together.
